Research Projects at EBCL:
I lead the biological control program for invasive teasels (Dipsacus spp.), a group that is widespread in the U.S. with species declared noxious in five states. This research is in support of National Programs 205 -- Rangeland, Pasture, and Forages; and 304 -- Crop Protection and Quarantine. Areas of Scientific Interest:
I am interested in any research that seeks to render food
and fiber production easier for farmers (particularly subsistence farmers)
while simultaneously reducing the adverse environmental impact of such production.
My principal research skills toward this goal are in the fields of entomology,
molecular biology, genetics, and plant breeding.
Languages:
English and French - Fluent. I Try my best in Bulgarian, Italian, Russian, Spanish and Turkish.
